8 Days walking and birding in North of Portugal

Starting from Porto, we will hike with binoculars to observe birds in the mountains of northern Portugal.
Each day we will hike trails of 5 to 12 km of medium to low difficulty, through oak and chestnut forests, where the refreshing waters of the summer heat sing.
We will visit the Serra de Montemuro, the Douro River cliffs, and the Barroso region, where it meets the Serra do Gerês.
We will stay in rustic houses, sample the cuisine of the villages, and feel the freshness of the mountain waters. We will try to spot all the birds of the forest and the mountains, and in the immense grandeur of the Douro cliffs we will see the large birds of prey of the Iberian fauna. At the end of our journey, we will witness an unusual community festival, which also includes a hike to one of the least known chapels in Portugal, prominent and isolated among the mountains of Gerês.
This is a tour for those who enjoy combining birdwatching with nature walks, for those who like to discover an authentic, still rural Portugal, which is evident in its landscape, its gastronomy and its festivals.
